Wyze Camera- to watch your doggies or whoever!

I have to tell you guys about Wyze cameras…they are so cool and such a good deal! I first heard about this camera from a guy a follow on FB who is a professional dog walker…I only follow three “strangers” on FB. Bruce Lindner, Jim Wright and Josh Fielder. Bruce and Jim are political bloggers and commentators and I often share their analysis because I find it to be spot on.

I started following Josh Fielder years ago (maybe 10 or more?) when an essay he wrote about gun violence went viral…At that time he was making hand-braided parachute cord dog leashes and I bought a collar for our dog. He is now a professional dog walker and he posts a lot of cute dog photos and musings. One time he posted something about being able to watch his dogs when he is out. I thought that was pretty cool so I replied to the post and that is how I found out about Wyze. I tell this story because 1) isn’t it interesting how life changing products come to one’s attention. I find it fascinating. and 2) if you want to follow someone who shares interesting musings and a lot of cute dog photos, then Josh Fielder is your guy!

Here is what is amazing about this camera:

• it is inexpensive only $25 on Amazon for the basic indoor model. I also got the outlet wall mount to go with it.

• it sets up in minutes and just plugs into a wall outlet and uses your wifi network

• it streams to a user friendly app on your phone and has excellent picture quality and a wide view. This service is FREE!!!!

• you can set your notifications so it alerts you to movement

• you can talk to your dogs through it (or to the dog sitter if necessary!)

• you can move it around as needed
