Yountville's Ciccio is a Local's Fave

Almost 7 years ago we went for a “first date” with a fabulous couple at this Yountville restaurant that blew us away- we hit it off so well, it was a successful first date! I was so happy that the husbands enjoyed each other’s company. That’s so important. We loved Ciccio but sadly had not been back until just the other night. Mainly because it’s “walk ins only” and I like to have things planned. Now however, they take reservations! (Yay! A pandemic silver lining). We were really lucky to have our now “old” friends bring their soon to be released @okapiwines 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon! We were the first to try this incredible cab- this is probably their best Cab yet. I can’t wait to buy it - if you haven’t discovered this award winning boutique winery yet, check them out. The value of this wine, for an estate cab, is really good -they probably could charge more! I love that a percentage of the proceeds of this winery go to @okapiconservation ! Have you ever seen an Okapi?! Very cute animal.

Now to the food: best pizza in Napa Valley. I don’t think anyone would argue with that. Homemade pastas (tip: ask the off menu item cacio pepe- so good!), amazing desserts and cocktails. Sadly I didn’t get a photo of the pastas because I was to intent on getting my portion (we shared, family style. Family style is back!) I also hear from a reliable source, that their burger is one of the “top 3 best burgers of Napa Valley”. I will be back to try it!

PS -For such a small place their wine list is excellent...but corkage is only $35 if you go that route, as we did.

Did you know the “secret tip” to not spilling a tray of drinks is DO NOT LOOK AT THE DRINKS!) It works, trust me!
